Account Verification

How sending gets unlocked automatically when you verify your domain, and how your sender score keeps it unlocked

New accounts start in a limited mode: you can build campaigns, import subscribers, and send test emails to your own address, but not to your audience yet. This screening protects the deliverability of every sender on Lumail.

Unlocking is automatic — no form, no waiting for a human.

How to unlock sending

Verify your own sending domain. The moment your DNS records verify, your account is approved automatically and sending unlocks:

  1. Add your domain in Domains (or during onboarding).
  2. Configure the DNS records shown on the domain page.
  3. When the records verify, sending unlocks instantly — you'll receive a notification. If it does not, open Settings → Verification and click Check process.

You can follow your status at any time in Settings → Verification, which shows the checklist and your sender score.

Automatic verification includes 3,000 emails per month on the Free plan. A paid plan lifts that cap automatically — your plan's sending limit then applies.

Staying unlocked: your sender score

Your sender score (0–100) reflects the last 30 days of sending: bounces, spam complaints, opens, and clicks. It is visible in Settings → Verification and as Sender health on Settings → Deliverability. Same formula.

As long as your score stays healthy, nothing changes. If your sending degrades — a spam complaint, or a sustained pattern of high bounces and low engagement — automatic verification can be paused and sending restricted until you complete additional verification. You'll be notified in-app with the exact next step if that happens.

To keep your score healthy:

  • Send to people who asked to hear from you.
  • Clean your list — remove addresses that bounce.
  • Use double opt-in for new signups.

Additional verification

Most accounts are verified automatically as soon as their domain setup is complete. Additional verification only applies when:

  • Your sending was restricted after a deliverability check.
  • Our team requested more information about your account.

In these cases, the form in Settings → Verification asks for your website, a social profile, your list size, and how you plan to use Lumail.
